Publication contest on topic of citizenship education and human rights
EENCE Citizenship Education Week will take place from 11 to 17 October 2021 under the theme “The Art of Living Online”.
The goal of the Citizenship Education Week is to build a respectful attitude towards Citizenship Education providers through the popularization of the best Citizenship Education practices and effects, as well as updating the Citizenship Education topics in the public discourse of the Eastern Partnership countries and Russia as well as to show how different is the offer of Citizenship Education.
As part of the Week, you are invited to take part in a publication competition on the theme of civic education.
The competition aims to raise public awareness of Citizenship Education as an essential component of the sustainable development of society, to intensify coverage of the topic in the media (mass media) and publications on the Internet, and to promote the experience of the best providers of Citizenship Education.
The participation in the competition is open for applicants from different regions and countries of the Eastern Partnership of the European Union (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine) and Russia.
Representatives of other countries are eligible to participate if their work is related to life in the countries of the specified region. Media professionals and schoolchildren, students and civic activists of any age can be participants of the festival.
What can be presented for the competition?
– electronic versions (or a link to open access to them) of monographs, textbooks, manuals, analytical materials, articles, long-readings on english or russian languages, related to the development of Citizenship Education in the Eastern Partnership countries and Russia, published in period 2019-2021.
Winners of the competition will be determined in categories:
- monograph, textbook, manual;
- scientific article and research results;
- publicist article (including a longread).
Winners of the competition will receive diplomas and valuable prizes. The winners will be announced during EENCE Citizenship Education Week.
The best works will be entered into the library of Citizenship Education publications and published on the EENCE website. The library will be open to all users.

You can apply for the competition until September 15, 2021 filling out the Online Form and joining it with a competition publication.
